Chase Dollander Tallies Six Punchouts on Sunday
Chase Dollander struck out six batters in his start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon. The young right-hander logged four 2/3 innings of one-run ball. He allowed three hits and two free passes. His lone blemish came in the opening frame on a solo shot by Arizona second baseman Ketel Marte. However, since allowing six runs to the Detroit Tigers on May 7, the former first-round pick has begun to turn the corner. In his last two starts, Dollander has tossed 10 2/3 innings with a 2.53 ERA and a strong 0.84 WHIP. Over this stretch, he has tallied 13 punchouts and allowed just five walks. Fantasy managers in deeper 15+ team formats should continue to stash Dollander on their bench. Even though he has progressed well, he should only be started in deeper NL-only formats in his next outing, against the New York Yankees at Coors Field.
