Chase Briscoe has generally struggled on intermediate superspeedways in NASCAR Cup Series particularly since last year. Michigan is not an exception, as both his average finish and average running position at the track are around 21st--although he admittedly had one of his strongest intermediate runs in the 2022 Fontana race (a similar track in length). Although his similarly-initialed predecessor Clint Bowyer did win at Michigan in 2018, that came with an entirely different generation of car and in a year the Stewart-Haas Racing cars were significantly faster, so the team's past history will not help them today. Since Briscoe starts 21st and was 16th in practice a finish in the middle of the pack seems most likely.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
