Chase Anderson Handed Loss In Mediocre Outing Against Indians
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Chase Anderson went 4 1/3 innings pitched, giving up four hits, three earned runs and three walks while striking out four in the 3-1 loss to the Cleveland Indians. After having a breakout season last year in which he pitched to a 12-4 record, 2.74 ERA and 133 strikeouts in 141 1/3 innings pitched, he's spent the last two months struggling. This year, he now holds a 4-5 record with a 4.57 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 65 innings pitched. His K/9 rate is all the way down to 5.95 compared to last year (8.47 K/9), and it's evident something is not right with him so far. He should still be owned in deep formats due to his ceiling. However, he should be dropped and streamed in shallower formats.
