Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Chase Anderson was chased from Sunday's game against the Pirates after throwing 5 1/3 innings and giving up five runs. The five runs were the most Anderson has given up this season and raised his ERA to 3.97, which is actually very low consider his underlying numbers. Anderson currently has a FIP of 5.17, which makes sense considering he strikes out about six per nine, and has a 90% strand rate. The strand rate is impossible to maintain with how much contact he allows, so the ERA is going to continue to rise towards his FIP. With the bad underlying stats and his decrease in velocity, Chase Anderson would be a great sell-high candidate moving forward, but time is of the essence.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
