Charlie Morton Removed During Saturday's Start
2 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton (arm) was removed early during Saturday's start against the Philadelphia Phillies. The veteran right-hander exited with the training staff after finishing the third inning. The 38-year-old was struck by a comebacker on the arm in the second inning. The team hasn't given an update on his status, but there should be more news soon. The Braves have been eliminated from the postseason, so Morton will get the entire offseason to rest and recover.
