2 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy isn't expected to play over the weekend after leaving Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over Toronto with an upper-body injury. He was pulled from the game as a precaution, but the Bruins obviously have no reason whatsoever to play him when he's not completely healthy, with the team comfortably leading the league. McAvoy has posted his second consecutive 50-point campaign with seven goals and 43 assists in 64 games. His absence gave Connor Clifton's minutes a big boost Thursday and it should allow Jakub Zboril back into the lineup for Saturday's game against New Jersey.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
