Charlie Lindgren Impresses With Win Over Kings
1 year agoWashington Capitals goaltender Charlie Lindgren limited the NHL's hottest offense to just one goal as his crew skated away with a 2-1 victory against the L.A. Kings on Wednesday. Arthur Kaliyev beat Lindgren in the middle of the first frame, but otherwise, it was a perfect performance from the Capitals backup. The Kings had averaged over four goals per game before running into Lindgren, who improved to 5-2-0 for the year. He's been in outstanding form with a 2.30 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage, and the workload has lately been shared in the crease between him and regular starter Darcy Kuemper.
