Charles Howell III has withdrawn from the AT&T Byron Nelson. Howell is citing a hip injury as the reason for his early Dallas exit. The veteran finished the first round with a one-over par 72, but has elected not to return for the second round. This is the latest in a rash of withdrawals by several players over the last couple of weeks. With the PGA Championship scheduled for next week, we are seeing many players that are already qualified for that event being extremely cautious with any possible injuries. Howell is in the field at Bethpage next week and will likely be fine to tee it up at that time. --Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
