6/13:Beginning a two-game home set against the Washington Nationals Tuesday night, the Yankees received a solid performance from one of their championship veterans. CC Sabathia recorded his fourth win of the season with a shutout performance against the National League East club. The 37-year-old went 5 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out three. He didn’t receive immense support from his offense, but three runs would be enough on a night when he kept the Nationals in check. This was Sabathia’s second consecutive victory after a rough May saw his ERA rise two runs.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
