8 months agoAccording to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype, the Cleveland Cavaliers are "intrigued" by Brooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson. The Nets are rebuilding, with the team recently sending Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks. While there are other names Brooklyn could deal ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, Johnson has been one of the most coveted options around the National Basketball Association. After showing promise following the trade to Brooklyn, the 28-year-old struggled last season, averaging 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. He was also limited to 58 games due to injury. Johnson's outlook would be brighter by staying in Brooklyn, considering he'd have plenty of scoring chances. On the other hand, a trade to Cleveland would mean he'd compete with Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen, among others, for offensive opportunities.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

5 days agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (rest) will not be in the lineup on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors. He is skipping the game for rest purposes, which opens up a spot in the starting lineup. In Johnson's most recent absence, Jalen Wilson joined the first unit but struggled, finishing with zero points on 0-for-4 shooting in a 105-99 loss to the Indiana Pacers. This may lead Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez to explore alternative options on Wednesday. Trendon Watford and Noah Clowney are expected to see more playing time, especially with the frontcourt also missing Day'Ron Sharpe (knee).--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (rest) will sit out Thursday's game against the Indiana Pacers. The Nets want to give him some rest, resulting in Johnson's second absence this month. Trendon Watford and Noah Clowney are the leading candidates to fill Johnson's spot in the starting lineup and could see an increase in playing time. Meanwhile, the offensive usage of players such as D'Angelo Russell, Ziaire Williams, and Nicolas Claxton appears poised for a boost.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the visiting Thunder. He had 17 points in Monday's loss to the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately, after appearing in the Nets' last seven games, Johnson may miss his first game since February 4. Brooklyn also won't have D'Angelo Russell (ankle) and Nicolas Claxton (suspension), so Ziaire Williams, Tyrese Martin, Trendon Watford, and Keon Johnson could all receive more scoring chances if Johnson can't suit up.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

2 months agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (ankle) will play against the Wizards on Wednesday night. He has had the best year of his career. However, an ankle injury has kept him off the floor for Brooklyn's previous six games. With that in mind, Johnson is a must-start in all fantasy setups. But his presence could mean less production from Ziaire Williams, Keon Johnson, and Tosan Evbuomwan.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
