Buffalo Sabres forward Casey Mittelstadt (upper body) wasn't able to complete Thursday's season opener against Montreal, logging just nine minutes of action before leaving the game in the second period due to injury. It's a bitter blow for the 22-year-old as Buffalo has put a lot of faith in him and he started the season as the first-line center. There have been no updates on his status as of yet. The Sabres face Arizona next on Saturday. Dylan Cozens joined Jeff Skinner and Vinnie Hinostroza on the top line following Mittelstadt's exit and could be the main beneficiary if Mittelstadt is forced to miss any action.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
