Pittsburgh Penguins netminder Casey DeSmith stopped 33 shots on Saturday night for his first shutout of the 2021-22 season. On the strength of the goaltending, the club defeated the Anaheim Ducks by a score of 1-0. The rarely-used backstop saw his SV% improve to .905 and his GAA fell to 3.03. He's appeared in just six games this season while No. 1 goalie Tristan Jarry has seen the bulk of the playing time. On the offensive side of the game, Brock McGinn scored the lone goal for the Penguins with assists from Zach Aston-Reese, who also doled out five hits, and Chad Ruhwedel. Jason Zucker and Drew O'Connor led the club with four shots apiece. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
