Carson Wentz Battling Biceps Tendon Strain
2 years agoWashington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz (biceps) will play on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears in Week 6, but he'll be playing through a biceps tendon strain near his throwing shoulder that raised questions about his availability on a short week, according to sources. He is sore and not 100 percent, but he looked good throwing the ball in walkthrough practices this week. Wentz will have 10 days to rest and heal up before the Week 7 game against the Green Bay Packers. The 29-year-old suffered the injury in last week's loss to the Tennessee Titans, but he still threw for a season-high 359 yards and two touchdowns. He'll be without Jahan Dotson and Logan Thomas on Thursday because of injuries, and Wentz will be in play as a midrange QB2 for fantasy managers.
