1 year agoFree-agent pitcher Carlos Zambrano, now 37 years old, is currently pitching for Navegantes del Magallanes in the Venezuelan winter league and has aspirations of pitching in the major leagues again. He is currently 0-2 with a 10.95 ERA in 12 1/3 innings. The right-hander has lost 30 pounds and is in much better shape than he ever was in his time with the Cubs. He last pitched in the majors in 2012, going 7-10 with a 4.49 ERA with the Marlins. Zambrano is known for his volatile temper and frequent dust-ups with opponents and his own teammates, so he's a long shot to even receive a minor league deal for the 2019 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
