Carlos Gonzalez Still Loves July
6 years agoIn his career, Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez has hit for a higher batting average in July than in any other month. It's the only month he's cracked .300, and in 2018, he's putting that weak number to shame. After a three-hit game against Oakland on Friday night, CarGo is now hitting .333 with five home runs, 16 RBI, and 18 runs scored in the month of July. The 32-year-old clearly isn't the same player who put up a 26/21 season five years ago, but he's showing he's not quite ready to be put out to pasture just yet. Fantasy owners should take advantage before his age catches up with him.
