6 years agoIn his career, Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez has hit for a higher batting average in July than in any other month. It's the only month he's cracked .300, and in 2018, he's putting that weak number to shame. After a three-hit game against Oakland on Friday night, CarGo is now hitting .333 with five home runs, 16 RBI, and 18 runs scored in the month of July. The 32-year-old clearly isn't the same player who put up a 26/21 season five years ago, but he's showing he's not quite ready to be put out to pasture just yet.
