2 months agoThe St. Louis Cardinals are a new potential bidder for the services of starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner, according to a source. The Twins, Reds, White Sox and Braves have also been linked to the veteran left-hander, and he could sign a deal before the winter meetings start next week in San Diego. The Cardinals rotation is already in good shape with Jack Flaherty, Miles Mikolas, Dakota Hudson and Adam Wainwright in the mix, so adding MadBum would be a cherry on top. Bumgarner is expected to land a deal worth at least $100 million. He's no longer the dominant ace he was in his prime in San Francisco, but Bumgarner still has some years left if he can stay healthy. St. Louis would be a fine landing spot for his fantasy value as well.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
