Cameron Heyward 2020 Outlook: Dependable Interior Presence Continues To See Stock Rise
5 years agoYou know you're doing something right when you're named to Pro Football Focus' list of the top 101 players from the 2010s. Cameron Heyward came in at No. 97 and has aged well in his nine-year career, earning Pro Bowl nods the last three years, including two first-team All-Pro selections in 2017 and 2019. He's been one of the best interior defensive line players in recent seasons and has 117 QB hits, 79 tackles and 54 sacks in 99 games since coming into the league in 2011. The 31-year-old had 83 tackles (51 solo) and nine sacks last year. There's a reason why Heyward was the third-highest IDP scorer at D-line a year ago. He can clog up lanes in the running game and get after the quarterback up the middle. Heyward is easily a top-10 defensive lineman in IDP leagues.
