Cam Newton's Foot Isn't Improving
Cam Newton's (foot) sprained foot is not getting better despite not playing since mid-September, and he hasn't done more than rehab on the side during practices. He will travel to Green Bay to visit with Dr. Robert Anderson to learn why his condition isn't improving, according to a source. Returning to action for Newton looks to be a ways off at this point. Kyle Allen, who has just one loss in Newton's absence, will continue to start for the foreseeable future. At this rate, you have to wonder if Newton will even play again this year. It may be hard to justify stashing him in shallow leagues if you have more pressing needs. Curtis Samuel, D.J. Moore and Greg Olsen have suffered with Newton sidelined.
