4 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton (abdomen) and kicker Nick Folk (back) were both limited in practice on Tuesday. Newton was able to bounce back with another two rushing touchdowns in the blowout win over the Chargers in Week 13 to help out fantasy managers that streamed him. However, he hasn't topped 100 yards passing in the last two weeks and doesn't have a single game in 2020 with more than one touchdown pass. Unless he finds success on the ground, the former MVP will likely be a bust in fantasy. The Rams, Newton's Week 14 opponent on Thursday, have allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to QBs this year, including just three rushing touchdowns. He'll be a low-ceiling/low-floor QB2. Folk made six extra points and a field goal last week, but we don't expect the Pats offense to go off on Thursday against a much tougher Rams Defense.
