2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers should see the bulk of the carries in the Rams' Week 12 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Former Rams RB Darrell Henderson Jr., who had almost as many carries as Akers, was waived this week. Malcolm Brown and Kyren Williams, who have both had increasing roles in recent weeks, remain factors, but Akers is the veteran lead back. He faces a Chiefs defense that is allowing the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game and the 13th-fewest per attempt. Akers has never had more than 15 carries in a game, and he probably will not this week, given that the Rams are a pass-heavy team and will be trailing most of the game. He is a starting option at RB2 or flex in deep leagues.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
