C.J. Stroud Showing The Ability To Rebound
1 year agoHouston Texans rookie first-round quarterback C.J. Stroud had a forgettable preseason debut, but head coach DeMeco Ryans insisted there wasn't any panic within the organization. Stroud showed growth in the second preseason game, rebounding from a rough opening series to complete his next five pass attempts to four different receivers. He will certainly face some down moments in his first NFL campaign, but the improvement he showed from Game 1 to Game 2 in the preseason is the kind of growth that the Texans need to see from the second overall pick of this year's draft. The 21-year-old has the ability and makeup to be a strong franchise QB in Houston eventually, but patience will be required. At best, fantasy managers should consider him a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues in 2023.
