Bulls Desperate To Extend DeMar DeRozan
1 year agoChicago Bulls general manager Marc Eversley hopes to work out an extension with star forward DeMar DeRozan, who is entering the final year of his contract. "I would love DeMar to be part of this program long term. Let's see how that plays out and what that looks like going forward," Eversley told Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. "When those conversations take place, we'll speak about that more when that happens. But we hope Deebo's back. He's been an integral part of this program's success. We hope he is here long term." DeRozan has spent the last two seasons with the Bulls, averaging 26.2 points with 4.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists. At 34, the six-time All-Star has entered the twilight of his career, but Eversley's eagerness to keep him in Chicago on a long-term deal shows that the team believes that DeRozan can still be an effective player for years to come.
