9 months agoKansas City Royals prospect Bubba Starling was lifted early from Wednesday's game with Triple-A Omaha after taking a pitch to the hand during a bunt attempt. X-rays after the game were negative, but the oft-injured outfielder is still considered day-to-day for now. Starling was once the pride and joy of KC's minor league system, but he's now a 26-year-old with nothing but disappointment in his wake. Starling was supposed to be a star, but he's never really done anything interesting above Single-A. He might finally see a cup of coffee in the majors later this year, but anyone hanging on to him in dynasty leagues needs to just toss in the towel at this point.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
