Bryse Wilson Getting Booted To Bullpen
5 months agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Bryse Wilson appears to be the odd man out in Milwaukee's starting rotation after the club acquired right-hander Aaron Civale from the Tampa Bay Rays this week. Civale will make his team debut on Friday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles, while Wilson will be relegated to the bullpen for the time being, according to manager Pat Murphy. The 26-year-old hurler currently has a 4.27 ERA and 1.28 WHIP on the year in 20 appearances (nine starts) while striking out only 62 hitters in 78 innings of work. Wilson has allowed a lot of hard contact this year but has been slightly better out of the bullpen, so that's where he'll head for the time being. He was already a pretty weak streaming option in deep-mixed leagues before the change, so now he belongs on the waiver wire in all mixed fantasy formats.
