Bruce Brown Comes Up Big In Fourth Quarter Friday
2 years agoDenver Nuggets guard/forward Bruce Brown played a big role in Friday's Game 4 victory over Miami, providing 21 points in 30 minutes off the bench. He had half of the team's 22 points in the fourth quarter and ended up outscoring all Heat starters not named Jimmy Butler in the game. Brown finished with 8-for-11 shooting from the field, nailing three of his five attempts from deep. He also tallied four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Brown has now scored 10-plus points in eight of his last 10 appearances, averaging 12.1 points for the entire postseason.

Bruce Brown Unavailable On Saturday
3 weeks agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Bruce Brown (rest) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets. The Pelicans have decided to take the cautious approach and give Brown a rest day during the front end of this back-to-back set. Honestly, Brown hasn't been much of a fantasy option lately, so his absence shouldn't be a huge problem for fantasy managers. Jamal Cain will likely see more run in the rotation, but he's not a recommended streaming option right now.

Bruce Brown Won't Play On Thursday Versus Suns
1 month agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Bruce Brown (rest) won't suit up against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. Brown will have the evening off to rest during the first half of back-to-back games against the Suns. He has played in five games since joining the Pelicans via trade from the Raptors recently. The 28-year-old seems to be taking on a larger role with his new club as he posted eight points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals across 29 minutes in a 109-103 overtime win over the Spurs on Tuesday. With Brown on the shelf, Jose Alvarado and Jordan Hawkins could undoubtedly see an uptick in minutes during Thursday's contest.

Bruce Brown Sent To New Orleans
2 months agoThe Toronto Raptors have traded guard/forward Bruce Brown to the New Orleans Pelicans. Brown, an NBA champion with the Denver Nuggets in 2023, was shipped out alongside Kelly Olynyk and a couple of draft picks for former All-Star Brandon Ingram. Toronto picked up Brown only 13 months ago from the Indiana Pacers. He ended up playing just 52 games for the team, missing the first couple of months in 2024-25 with a knee injury. Brown has averaged 8.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in the current campaign. A move to New Orleans might boost his numbers, as the Pelicans have battled injuries throughout the season. Brown is on a $23 million expiring contract.

However, he has been cleared for action. With RJ Barrett (concussion) unavailable, Brown could see a few extra shifts in the rotation. The veteran is averaging 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals in 19.9 minutes this season.
