Browns Visit With Jadeveon Clowney Wednesday
4 years agoThe Cleveland Browns hosted free-agent pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney for a visit on Wednesday, according to the NFL's transaction wire. The Browns were interested in Clowney last year, too, but they received a look at him in person this time to judge how healthy he actually is. The oft-injured pass-rusher returned home on Wednesday and no deal has been reached, but the two sides will continue to talk. Cleveland offered Clowney a three-year, $57 million deal last year, but the attempt fell short and he wound up with the Tennessee Titans. He then failed to record a sack in a season that once again ended early due to injury. The Browns signed former first-rounder Takkarist McKinley earlier this month and continue to look to fill the void left by Olivier Vernon. Clowney won't command the type of money that he held out for in 2020 thanks to another injury marred campaign.
