Veteran shooting guard Iman Shumpert is joining the Brooklyn Nets, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Shumpert played 13 games with the Nets last season as a reserve, averaging 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds across 18.5 minutes on a nightly basis. Known for his defensive acumen, Shumpert would likely reprise a wing defender role among the second unit if he is able to crack the rotation. That limited gig keeps him from being a season-long asset at this stage, although he could play his way into DFS appeal should injuries strike the Brooklyn backcourt at any point.--Jesse BorekRead More News
