Broncos Defense Records Three Takeaways Against Vegas
3 years agoFor the second straight week, the Denver Broncos defense did more than enough to help the team get the win, but the offense failed to capitalize in the 17-13 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. In the loss, the Broncos recovered two fumbles, picked off a pass that was nearly returned for a touchdown by defensive end Bradley Chubb, and sacked quarterback Derek Carr two times in the game. Although Denver allowed 342 total yards to the Raiders in Week 16, they held them to only 17 total points, giving fantasy managers that streamed them this week a solid showing. The Broncos defense will have a tough task in Week 17 against a Los Angeles Chargers team coming off an embarrassing loss, but they're tied for the fewest points allowed per game (17.3) this year.
