Broncos Defense Fading Heading Into Week 11
4 years agoThe Denver Broncos Defense performed above expectations in the first half of the season, but they are heading in the wrong direction as they march into the second half and a Week 11 meeting with the Dolphins. They've allowed 30-plus points in each of the last four games, including a 40-point showing by the Chiefs in Week 7. Their run defense, which was a strength early on, has dropped to 23rd in the league. No defensive tackle has gone over 37 percent of the defensive snaps in a game, which shows that they are relying on depth instead of studs on their injury ravaged line. Rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been under pressure on just 15 dropbacks in his three games, and he gets rid of the ball quickly. If Denver doesn't get pressure on the rookie signal-caller, it could be another long day at the office, especially since they haven't been good at turning the ball over in 2020. The Broncos D just doesn't have enough playmakers on that side of the ball to make a difference in fantasy right now.
