Brock Purdy Tosses Two TD Passes In Win Over Seattle
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy completed 17-of-26 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns in the Niners' 21-13 division title-clinching victory over the Seattle Seahawks. He displayed poise, read the field well, and put his passes on the money. Both touchdown passes were to George Kittle, including a 54-yard strike (with about 20 air yards) in the third quarter. The rookie benefited from coach Kyle Shanahan having drawn up effective plays, but he executed them well. Purdy has thrown two touchdown passes in each of his past three games and hasn't thrown a single interception in either of his two starts. The 22-year-old joins a list of passers that includes himself and Aaron Rodgers as the only to earn a QB rating of 115.0 or greater in each of his first two starts. Purdy's matchup against the Washington Commanders next week is more difficult, but then he faces the cakewalk Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17.
