Brock Purdy Faces Weak Pass Defense In Week 17
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has a favorable matchup in Week 17 against the poor Las Vegas Raiders defense. The Raiders allow the sixth-most passing yards per game and the highest QB rating to opposing passers. Only five teams have allowed more fantasy points to QBs than the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the NFC West Champions might not be in a pass-first game script for long. The Raiders have benched their former starting quarterback Derek Carr, and they may fall behind early. In Purdy's first start against the Buccaneers, the 49ers got out to a big lead and abandoned the pass in the second half. But fantasy managers should not be too concerned about this possibility. If the 49ers do get out to a big lead, that will probably mean multiple touchdown passes for the rookie sensation. Purdy has been a borderline QB1 and a quality QB2 the past two weeks. He should maintain that floor and have a higher ceiling in Week 17.
