Brian Goodwin Making Case To Stay In Lineup
Brian Goodwin continues to contribute this season, hitting .292 over his last seven games heading into Monday's action. Goodwin's best contribution has been his .300 batting average with runners in scoring position and has earned a spot, at the very least, in the Angels outfield rotation moving forward. Goodwin should see a consistent dose of at-bats over the next few weeks but a decline in playing time is on the way. Teammate Justin Upton has begun a rehab assignment and is expected to be back in the lineup by the end of the month. With Shohei Ohtani and Albert Pujols holding down the designated hitter spot, Goodwin's role could be reduced moving forward.
