Brenton Doyle Not Starting On Sunday
6 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle (knee) is not in the starting lineup for the second consecutive day. Doyle was a late scratch on Saturday due to left patella tendonitis, as per Rockies reporter Patrick Lyons. The 26-year-old is clearly still dealing with some soreness and will sit out once again on Sunday. As a result, Jake Cave will slot in at center field and bat seventh. Doyle has been one of the best base stealers this season with 18 swiped bags through 67 games and has recently begun to move up to the two-hole in the Colorado lineup. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to Doyle's status ahead of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Cave is worth a look at in DFS as he will face the Pirates in a likely bullpen game at the hitter-friendly Coors Field.
