Brayan Bello To Make Season Debut On Tuesday
Brayan Bello (shoulder) will make his season debut on Tuesday and start against the Seattle Mariners, according to manager Alex Cora. Bello dealt with a right-shoulder injury in spring training and was forced to start the 2025 regular season on the 15-day injured list, but he's now ready to rejoin Boston's starting rotation after making four minor-league rehab starts. Although the 25-year-old had a 7.07 ERA during his rehab assignment, he did strike out 21 hitters while walking only four in his 14 innings of work with Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester. The Dominican hurler only got up to a maximum of 71 pitches in the minor leagues, so he probably won't be fully stretched out to go deep into his first big-league outing on Tuesday against Seattle. Fantasy managers in DFS and deeper single-year leagues would be wise to avoid Bello in his first start off the IL.
