Brandon Woodruff Solid In No-Decision
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff threw seven innings and allowed three runs against the Astros Wednesday night. This one went 14 innings so he didn't get the win, but struck out six and walked three on his way to the quality start. This brings Woodruff to a very solid 3.87 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 96 strikeouts in 81 1/3 innings. He's racked up five quality starts on the season and an 8-1 record. There's been a clunker here and there but has been very reliable for owners who have stuck with him. There's a possibility that owners may not appreciate the innings, strikeouts, and wins that he's provided, opening the door for a nice buying opportunity. He gets a strikeout-prone Padres lineup next time out and should be started for that one.
