Brandon Nimmo Continues Rehab At Triple-A
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (neck), who is recovering from a bulging disc in his neck that he suffered on April 14, doesn't have a hit in his first 10 plate appearances during a rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse, but he's walked four times, scored three runs and stolen a base. The first-round pick in 2011 is hitting just .200 this year after batting .263 with 17 homers, 47 RBI and nine steals in 2018, so he's likely been dropped in most mixed leagues at this point. Unless he suffers a setback in the minors, Nimmo could return to the Mets lineup sometime early next week. Until he starts hitting the ball better, owners in mixed leagues will likely leave him to the waiver wire.
