Brandon McManus Misses Second Field Goal Of The Season
4 years agoDenver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus made a 53-yard field goal in the 22-16 Week 13 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday night, but he also missed just his second field-goal attempt on the year -- a 57-yard try at the end of the first half. He made his only extra point in the contest. Despite the missed kick, McManus has a field-goal percentage of 91.7 percent through 13 weeks, missing just two of his 24 tries. However, he's mostly been a fringe fantasy kicker because Denver's offense just hasn't moved the ball consistently enough to give him consistent field-goal opportunities. The 29-year-old's two missed kicks were also both from 50-plus yards. He hasn't had more than two field-goal tries in a game since an outlier Week 6 in which he made six field goals. The Panthers, Denver's Week 14 opponent, allow the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing kickers, though, so McManus will be worth a look as a streamer in 12- and 14-team leagues.
