Brandon McManus Finishes Preseason On A Perfect Note
3 years agoDenver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus made his lone field-goal attempt (a 54-yarder) and both of his extra points in the 17-12 win over the Los Angeles Rams in the preseason finale on Saturday night. It's not a surprise to see McManus knock down another 50-plus-yarder, as he led the NFL with 10 field goals of 50-plus yards a year ago, and he has one of the strongest legs in the league. The 30-year-old is even more attractive when you consider that he kicks half his games in the thin air of Denver. However, McManus finished tied for 11th in fantasy points last season because of the Broncos inconsistent offense. If Denver can get better quarterback play out of Teddy Bridgewater/Drew Lock this year, McManus will be a fine streaming option at the kicking position, especially in leagues that give extra points for longer kicks.
