Brandon Ingram Not Interested In Extension Talks At Present
Brandon Ingram will reportedly put extension talks on hold until next summer. He is currently set to enter the fourth season of a five-year, $158.2 million deal. The 26-year-old noted in the offseason that he loves life in New Orleans, but it appears as though he isn't rushing into inking a new deal to secure a bigger payday for himself. Ingram's contract value increases to a maximum extension of $334 million for five seasons if he can earn All-NBA honors this season. Considering his injury history, it's a pretty risky move. Ingram hasn't played in at least 65 games since his rookie season in 2016-17, and he's missed 67 games across the past two campaigns alone.
