Brad Miller Leading Off For Rangers On Opening Day
Brad Miller is slotting in as the team's leadoff hitter for Opening Day against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. The 32-year-old inked a contract with the Rangers last month. He spent the 2021 season with the Philadelphia Phillies and slashed .227/.321/.453 with 20 home runs, 49 RBI and 53 runs over 140 games. He'll be hitting in front of fellow newly-acquired Rangers Marcus Semien and Corey Seager, who are slotting in at No. 2 and No. 3 in the batting order, respectively, on Friday. If Miller can hold down the leadoff spot, he could prove to be a strong source of runs in 2022, but we expect the Rangers to play around with their lineup a good amount in the coming weeks as the roster has so many new additions.
