Brad Keller Gifted A Win On Sunday
5 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitchers are usually known for being saddled with tough-luck losses, but Brad Keller was gifted a win by the offense on Sunday. Keller pitched poorly against the Blue Jays, allowing six earned runs in five innings, but his offense carried him to victory anyway. Keller only struck out three while walking two and allowing eight hits, including two home runs. This is a far cry from earlier in the week, when Keller was dealing before his start was cut short by rain, but unpredictable results are part of his hallmark. Any owner risking their team ERA by starting Keller need to be prepared for his 6.40 K/9 and 4.35 BB/9 to bite them on a regular basis. He'll get a chance to hit when KC visits Washington, DC later in the week.
