Colorado Avalanche defenseman Bowen Byram was a late scratch for Saturday's matchup against Columbus, with the team announcing that he is dealing with a lower-body injury. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day and it seems pretty likely that he will be back for the next game, as Byram was on the ice for warmups pregame and Colorado won't be in action until Thursday as the team travels back from Finland. Kurtis MacDermid was able to get some game action with Byram out on Saturday, while it was Cale Makar who led the Avalanche blue line again, posting three assists in a 5-1 win. He had five points in total in the two games played against the Blue Jackets in Tampere.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
