5 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell (elbow) tested his sore left elbow on Tuesday by playing catch. Snell threw 20 fastballs on flat ground, and pitching coach Kyle Snyder said the ball was coming out of Snell's hand well. Manager Kevin Cash said Snell will throw again on Wednesday and Thursday at increasing distances. If all goes well, he'll throw off the mound on Friday, and he could return to game action on Sunday or Monday and potentially miss only the first week of the regular season. The Rays will play it cautious with their ace, so he could miss the beginning of the regular season. As long as Snell doesn't have any further setbacks, he should still be drafted as a low-end fantasy ace.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
