Blake Griffin Loved His Experience In Boston
1 year agoFree-agent forward Blake Griffin has opened up about his experience with the Boston Celtics last season. "Boston is unbelievable," Griffin said on Barstool Sports' Fore Play podcast. "Living in Boston, playing in Boston, was like one of the best experiences. Dude, the fans are incredible." The 34-year-old made 41 appearances for the team in 2022-23, averaging 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds. He had special praise reserved for Jayson Tatum. "The players on that team are just like such a great group of guys," Griffin added. "Like a guy like Jayson Tatum, he's a legit superstar. And he's just so humble and talks to everybody on the team and talks to the whole staff." It's been previously reported that the Celtics are open to Griffin returning for the 2023-24 campaign and it looks like he wouldn't mind suiting up in green again either. But with him still being a free agent this late in August, Griffin clearly hasn't been in a rush to get a deal with any NBA team. It was the same last year when he eventually signed up for the C's near the end of September.
