Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons has decided to not participate in the FIBA World Cup this summer. It was reported in May that Simmons was hopeful to represent Australia in the World Cup this summer. However, the 26-year-old has opt-out in order to focus on rehabbing his back injury that limited him to 43 games last season. Simmons averaged a career-worst 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists last season with the Brooklyn Nets. When healthy, Simmons is normally a reliable contributor, but lately his commitment to basketball seems questionable. We'll see what kind of shape he's in heading into training camp.--Andy Webb
