The Brooklyn Nets announced guard/center Ben Simmons (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against the Knicks. Simmons was listed as probable earlier in the day but will be out of the rotation due to an illness. The same illness kept him out of action on Sunday against Oklahoma City. His next chance to suit up comes on Wednesday versus Phoenix. Until then, Keon Johnson and Tyrese Martin will receive more minutes on the floor.--Andrew Lennox
