Baker Mayfield Throws For 147 Yards In Overtime Loss
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 13-of-26 passes for 147 yards and an interception in LA's 16-19 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The 27-year-old has been held under 200 yards in the past two games and three of his five games as a Ram. He was under constant pressure, and he was sacked five times and scrambled a few times, gaining 16 yards on five carries. He had multiple chances to lead a game-winning drive and came up short each time. When he underthrew Van Jefferson in overtime, Quandre Diggs made him pay, setting up the Seahawks' winning drive with his interception. As we go into next season, Mayfield's status is uncertain. He will be a free agent, and many teams will be looking for a new quarterback, but after he finished this season with 2,163 yards, 10 touchdowns, and eight interceptions on two teams, he may not have done enough to make himself attractive as a starter. Even if he does get a chance to start somewhere, he likely will not be a viable fantasy quarterback.
