5 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Avisail Garcia, who hit a big home run in the wild-card win over the A's, is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Friday. Austin Meadows is leading off and playing right field, while Yandy Diaz is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup against Astros ace Justin Verlander. Diaz smashed two long balls on Wednesday, but he's been much better against left-handers this season. The matchup against Verlander is as difficult as it gets, but his one weakness was allowing home runs in 2019. Meadows and Diaz will be boom/bust DFS tournament plays.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
