Austin Meadows Not In The Starting Lineup On Saturday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Meadows hit .238 (24-for-101) with four home runs and 17 RBI in the month of June and got off to a rough start in July on Friday by going 0-for-4 with a strikeout. It appears to be just a normal day of rest for the left-handed hitter. While the average hasn't been great, Meadows has 16 long balls and 54 RBI on the year for his fantasy managers. Ji-Man Choi is the designated hitter and is batting cleanup, while Yandy Diaz gets the start at first base and is hitting sixth against Blue Jays right-hander Ross Stripling. All three of Choi's homers this year have come against right-handers, but he's hit much better overall against southpaws. Between Choi and Diaz, the two have a combined six home runs on the season, so there's not a whole lot of power upside in DFS here.
