Austin Ekeler Will Keep Catching Passes
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler caught six passes for 96 yards last week, and fantasy owners should expect that trend to continue. Detroit allowed six of eight attempted passes to be completed to running backs last week, and LA's loss of Hunter Henry will further push them towards using the short pass game as a beautiful complement to their basic run packages. With starting RB Melvin Gordon continuing to hold out, Ekeler should continue to see plenty of usage. If Week 1 is any indication, Ekeler could prove to be one of the most valuable backs in the league.
